Ben Lanka reported in today’s Journal Gazette that City Council will no longer have an allocation of CEDIT funds to spend in their districts. The allocations first totalled $450,000 for each district and $450,000 to be split amongst the three At-Large Council members. This year, the amount was slashed to $250,000 with the stipulation that the Council would approve a $30 million CEDIT bond to be issued this first quarter of this year.

First, my apologies for taking so long to post this. I have quite a stack of projects like this on my desk and am patiently working my way through them. In the mean time, I find it very frustrating and curious that the local media refuse to cover this topic. Several of the media were in attendance this particular evening, however, it received no mention. Nor did Councilman Harper’s follow-up revelation on the 16th of December.

City of Fort Wayne Press Release:
City Controller to stay one more month while search continues for replacement
Pat Roller will serve through January; Deputy Controller will serve as Interim
Mayor Tom Henry announced today that City Controller Pat Roller has agreed to stay on with the Administration for an additional month. She had originally said she would leave at the end of December. Roller has served as Controller, the Chief Financial Officer position of the City, since January 2004. She announced her plans to leave in September.
