Press release from the Allen County Board of Commissioners:
Flags at County buildings lowered in memory of Ft. Hood victims
In memory of the victims of the Fort Hood shootings, the Allen County Commissioners today directed that flags at all County-owned buildings be lowered to half-staff through Veterans Day.
The Commissioners’ action follows President Obama’s order that flags at the White House and other federal buildings be lowered to half-staff until the same time. He called it a modest tribute to those who were slain and to those who put their lives on the line in the armed services each day.
