Those of us who embrace openness in government;
who detest most strenuously violence in any form – especially that perpetrated on a people by its very government; those of us who love democracy and detest dictatorships stand with and behind our Iranian brothers and sisters who crave freedom and relief from the tyrannous regime over them. While the picture, with no thanks to the Iranian government, is not clear as to what exactly is going on there, some of the details that have escaped are shocking and unimaginable. Pray for Iran and those who live within it’s borders that the lives lost and suffering of those oppressed will not go unanswered; that justice and the human spirit will prevail, and the evil will be removed from power. Remember this as we here in the US go about our weekend, enjoying all that our freedom and system of government allow us.
