Tools For School Donations Accepted During Upcoming TinCaps Homestand
The Salvation Army will be will be accepting Tools for School donations during each TinCaps home game July 28, July 29, and July 30
(July 27, 2010) – The Fort Wayne TinCaps will be collecting school supplies at the games on July 28, July 29, and July 30 to help support the Salvation Army Tools for School program. Collection bins will be located inside each entrance to Parkview Field in order to accept donated items.
The Salvation Army Tools for School program is designed to provide basic school supplies for area children who are not fortunate enough to be provided with the items necessary to succeed in school. Tools for School collect and distribute items such as: backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, etc.
In 2009, the Salvation Army provided 1,482 area youth with new school supplies.
